Submission Guidelines

General Guidelines
  • Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Maximum length: 300 words (excluding title, authors and affiliations).
  • Use clear and concise language and avoid unexplained acronyms.
  • Indicate your preferred presentation type (oral or poster).​
  • Each researcher may present one oral talk only, but may also submit multiple posters and be a co-author on multiple talks and posters.
Abstract Format
  • Title in sentence case, concise and informative.
  • List all authors with full first name and family name.
  • Provide full institutional affiliations and country for all authors.
  • Structure the abstract in four parts: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
  • Do not include tables, figures or references in the abstract.
Submission Process
  • Prepare your abstract as a text document before starting the submission.
  • Check spelling, authors’ names and affiliations carefully before sending.
  • Generate  a PDF and upload it into the google form (see below).
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your abstract has been successfully submitted.
  • Changes after the submission deadline cannot be guaranteed.
Review and Acceptance
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee.
  • Acceptance will be based on scientific quality and relevance to the conference topics.
  • The committee may change the presentation type (oral/poster) depending on the programme.
  • Corresponding authors will be notified of the decision by email.
Important Dates
  • Abstract submission opening: 16 March 2026
  • Abstract submission deadline: 10 May 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 10 June 2026
  • Registration deadline: 15 August 2026
  • Funding applications for WIMANET members: 16 March – 16 April (registration must have taken place before applying for funding)
  • Funding decisions for WIMANET members: 1 May
